Still sick. Still looking for something to occupy my mind between naps. Picked up the remote.
Checked my favorite channels: Style, HGTV, Bravo, TLC, Food Network. I did NOT want to watch hours upon hours of Bridezilla, Split Ends or Little People, Big World. Damn. No good cooking shows on either. I clicked my remote back to “All Channels” in search of a movie. And here was this one. One of my all time favorite movies. Yay!
I love Annette Benning’s character in this, as well as Michael Douglas’. I’m not a big MD fan, but he did a great President. Martin Sheen did a good job as Chief of Staff, too. I wish we had a real president who would do what was right and stop worrying so much about being elected. I love his “Why aren’t you a member of the ACLU?” speech. Damn.
I’m a sucker for romantic comedies. Even filled with straight people.
